Secured two venture rounds, established business planning and control functions, completed S-1 preparatory to 1999 IPO.

Established budgeting and MIS systems, negotiated for the merger with a larger competitor.

EVP and CFO, Mandalay Resort Group, 1994 – 1997

Negotiated $240 m financing for new hotel, established budgeting and forecasting models, negotiated merger with Gold Strike Resorts, addressed institutional investor groups monthly.

Business planning, financial presentations, financings – primarily for recent IPOs.

Various management positions, Federal Express Corporation, 1978 – 1993

Over a fifteen-year career (including consulting for the company in 1993), finance positions included Director of Corporate Finance, Vice President, Finance – Europe (based in the U.K.), Vice President – International Finance.  Other management positions included Managing Director – Public Relations and Vice President – Corporate Communications.  Initiated the financial communications function in 1978, managed various debt and equity financings in the company’s first five years following the 1978 IPO, renegotiated company’s credit lines in 1980 and 1982, became the company’s first ex-pat officer following an acquisition in 1987 and was the de facto CFO of European operations through 1988 which included management of all finance and accounting functions.
